
Minkler, Raymond A. Age 96, of Minnetonka, passed away on April 21, 2009. Preceded in death by Imogene, his wife of 69 years, and sister, Mabel Frey. Survived by children: Janis Nicolay, Marilyn (Christian) Kuntz, Mark (Louise) Minkler, Jim Minkler and Carol (Mack) Traynor; grandchildren: Paul, Steven, Brian and Raymond J. Minkler, Mack, Ellen and Anne Traynor. Ray was born in Nevada, IA, a graduate of Drake University, post graduate study at Northwestern University, MacPhail School of Music and Boston University. He taught instrumental and choral music at Minnetonka High School for 27 years. Ray touched the lives of countless students during his career. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 24th at Minnetonka Lutheran Church, 16023 Minnetonka Boulevard, Minnetonka 55345. Friends may gather one hour prior to the service.
